Angry Demon Studio is an independent Swedish game development studio known for creating horror and adrenaline-filled experiences.

History

At Angry Demon Studio, the current three passionate founders set out in 2017 to bring bold, horror-filled experiences to gaming. After finishing our final year in game development studies in Skövde, Sweden, we transformed our college project into a full-fledged studio. Today, alongside our growing team, we’re committed to expanding our studio and creating thrilling new games.

Our journey into horror game development began in our third year of college, when we worked on Unforgiving: A Northern Hymn in our free time—a project that eventually grew into our debut title.

In 2017, we officially launched Angry Demon Studio and released Unforgiving – A Northern Hymn, which is available on Steam. The success of our first game allowed us to grow and produce our second title, Apsulov: End of Gods (2019), available on Steam and GOG. After the release a publisher called Digerati offered to port and sell the came on consoles. This is the first time Angry Demon Studio reached consoles. 2023, Angry Demon got back the rights and full ownership again of Apsulov now being the one selling the game on PlayStation, Switch and Xbox.

The latest game, Gori: Cuddly Carnage, started as a prototype short after the release after Apsulov, first displayed as a playable concept on the event SGC (Sweden Game Conference) with the working title “Rune Skate”.
Later the concept evolved to Gori Cuddly carnage and displayed a Cat with and available demo from 2020 up to the release. 2020 Angry Demon Studio and the Publisher Wired Production joined together for the project (Angry demon studio still owning 100% of their own company). Which made it possible for the third game, Angry Demons biggest and longest project yet, Gori: Cuddly Carnage to be released 2024.
This time, the game was release on all platforms simultaneously and was ported by the studio themselves.
Available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, GOG, Epic, Utomik.

All games rated between vary positive to overwhelmingly positive on Steam.

Our goal is to continue crafting high-quality, adrenaline-filled experiences and to build a brand that resonates with fans of intense gaming.

The various settings of Unforgiving are based on the Swedish folklore with all its vicious creatures and stories, joined with the magic of Nordic mythology.
